Location: Diabetes & Endocrinology Department, Bradford Royal Infirmary Hospital
and Diabetes Office at Horton Park Centre, Bradford
Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week
Monday – Friday (working hours between 08.00 – 18.00hrs)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust Diabetes Service. Based with the Diabetes Specialist Nursing teams working at the Bradford Royal Infirmary Hospital site and across the Bradford area, you will play a vital role in providing administrative and secretarial support for the dynamic and evolving specialist diabetes service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Diabetes Specialist Nursing team, using own initiative and judgement to prioritise the administrative workload ensuring all matters are dealt with in a timely manner, including the processing of referrals .
The post holder will communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other Health Care Professionals, ensuring information is dealt with in a confidential/professional manner and calls/messages are forwarded to an appropriate staff member in a timely manner.
The post holder will plan and co-ordinate educational events for both patients and Health Care professionals for the Diabetes Nursing team, ensuring preparation of resources.
It is expected that the job holder will contribute to the development of efficient and lean administration processes to promote efficient patient centred services.
