The Children’s Hospital at Home Team/ Special Schools nursing team based in Croydon is actively seeking to recruit Band 5 Children’s Nurses to join their intergrated team. This friendly, award winning team is looking for motivated, forward thinking individual to help provide family centered nursing care to children with acute, complex and unstable long-term/palliative conditions in the community. This is an ideal post to gain experience in the community visiting children in their own homes enabling them to stay at home or be easily discharged from hospital.

Main duties of the job

The team works in partnership with health and social care organisations reducing the need for hospital intervention. As a Band 5 you will be working alongside and under the guidance of senior colleagues working within specific competencies to provide care in Children and Young peoples homes

You will be supported by our practice education team- this is a great time to join us in Croydon with Rainbow intergrated unit recently opening in Croydon University Hospital and our special school nursing team about to expand – you will have many opportunities for personal and professional development.
