MLCSU are looking for a B5 Programme Management Officer to undertake specific project related work.

The ideal candidate should have extensive administration experience and should be used to working at a management level; having the skills and abilities to work with all stakeholders, ensuring all matters are dealt with sensitively and confidentially. Previous experience of working with formal project management methodology would be desirable as would experience of working in the health and social care sector.

You should possess excellent organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to flex your time to respond to sudden and unexpected demands, being able to re-prioritise your work as this happens.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will manage and support the development of an MLCSU wide, Children and Young People’s (CYP) Contracting, Brokerage and Commissioning process. This programme aims to produce a national provider list for CYP continuing care commissioning for MLCSU brokerage and commissioning.

The Programme Management Officer will support the Programme Manager and wider team in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of tasks. You will be responsible for managing information and documentation, preparing reports, liaising with partners and external agencies, providing support at meetings and providing general support to the team as required.

The Programme Management Officer will be required to work flexibly and in partnership with other MLCSU Teams and external agencies and it is essential that the successful candidate has a flexible approach to work and managing their workload.
