The MEH JV
The MEH Joint Venture will work across HPC site to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services on the project. The joint venture will consolidate these works in line with the project’s priorities of safety, quality, time and cost.
This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s 2,500 rooms. The approach is an example of innovation based on the experience gained at other nuclear construction projects.
The role
The difference our new Construction Manager will make
As a Construction Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Build Lead will lead, manage and motivate the Building Construction team through implementation of best practice and provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the project.
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for delivering the build projects on time, budget & quality, and reported as per the HPC requirements as well as managing the interfaces between the MEH partners and subcontractors to ensure project delivery.
We are looking for a positive, strong and collaborative leader with a proven track record of delivering successful major schemes. As well as working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK we also offer a supportive work environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.
Essential experience
You will have demonstrable experience of delivering major construction projects, including establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships.
You will also have experience in developing, sustaining and leading a high performing integrated construction management team by blending people with the right attitude, skills, and experience to deliver the assigned projects and or portfolios.
Able to inspire and lead a team, you’ll encourage and support groups and individuals to achieve critical tasks and outcomes with the ability to adopt a can-do attitude and willingness to be hands on if required, to achieve the deliverables.
