Job summary

The Medical Day Unit at Weston General Hospital provides an environment that provides vital Day treatment services. This service is instrumental at reducing patient admissions for minor invasive treatments and infusions, whilst improving patient experiences.

The Medical Day Unit is dedicated to providing a ‘Nurse led’ service working closely with the various Specialist Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Trust and with other external partners.

The successful candidates would be able to enrich their experience in areas such as General Medicine, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Haematology and Endocrinology.

The successful applicant will have at least 12 months previous Acute Medical Experience and competencies in intravenous cannulation and venepuncture.
