Responsibilities

:

  • Oversee adherence to the requirements and principles to implement a comprehensive, transparent and globally consistent governance framework to oversee and govern ICM’s risks and controls
  • Manage an integrated forward calendar for ICM Business Risk and Controls Committee (BRCC) and Wholesale Credit Issues Management Governance Forum, to help ensure coverage is comprehensive aligned with committee charter or terms of reference
  • Lead the coordination of agendas, stakeholder communications, prepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/ or regular business meetings
  • Work with partners teams to ensure issues are appropriately and proactively identified, reviewed and discussed in a timely fashion to determine if thematic across multiple businesses or functions
  • Manage and monitor governance responsibilities for the ICM BRCC, track coverage of top risks and oversee follow-up items
  • Interact and communicate with senior management to identify key topics of interest to bring to the ICM BRCC and Wholesale Credit Issue Management Forum
  • Work closely with partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving data gathering and data management across wholesale credit
  • Continuously improve processes and establish best practices
  • Create and implement appropriate analysis methodology (sourcing, normalization, tagging, aggregation, etc.)
  • Continuously improve process and infrastructure by exploring and evaluating now data sources, capabilities and other processes
  • Build relationships with the various Governance and Issues Management partners across the ICG and Wholesale Credit
  • Lead process enhancements efforts engaging where appropriately the other Corporate Governance and Issues Management teams
  • Qualifications:

  • Proven Risk and Controls experience and Issue Management coordination experience in the financial services industry or other large corporations. PMO a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of the principles of credit, market, liquidity, strategic, operational and compliance, and / or reputational risks
  • Experience in building out and managing end-to-end process flows
  • Able to assess and synthesize issues
  • Understanding of controls frameworks
  • Experience in interacting across 1st, 2nd and 3rd line of defense teams
  • Able to define the agenda / material for senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization and across different geographic locations
  • A proactive and “no surprises” approach in communicating issues
  • Range of experience demonstrating flexibility in skillset and approach
  • High proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Education:

    Undergraduate degree preferred
