What are the duties and responsibilities?

  • Review and document client systems and procedures
  • Identify and record areas of risk relevant to clients’ industries and organisations
  • Analysis of Client Accounts
  • Liaising with client to obtain any missing/unclear information
  • Review all accounting adjustments required to produce Financial Accounts and Tax returns as directed by Audit manager (Accruals, Prepayments, Depreciation, Tax Provisions etc.)
  • Ensure the correct disclosure of items in the accounts in accordance with the relevant reporting framework (including Accounting Policies and Notes to the Financial Statements)
  • Reconciliation of all audit schedules
  • Identification/classification/existence of Capital Items & reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register
  • Review of client year end Working Paper schedules and record findings
  • Develop and perform audit fieldwork testing under guidance of manager
  • Update client system notes covering your areas of audit responsibility
  • Ensure relevant training and knowledge is maintained and updated
  • Who are they looking for?

    Someone who:

  • CA or ACCA trainee or evidence of equivalent experience and knowledge with preferably at least two years’ experience
