First Dietitians are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative community dietitian with excellent communication skills and knowledge to join our vibrant adult team.
You will provide the specialist dietetic service to a caseload of adults including those with complex needs, learning disabilities and those receiving enteral tube feeding within Sussex.

The role is based across Crawley and Horsham hospitals, and we embrace flexible working with some opportunity to work remotely from home, if desired.
Main duties of the job
We are a friendly team of 20 dietitians, 4 dietetic assistants and 2 administrators delivering services across east Surrey and parts of West Sussex.
As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will take the lead and demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist area of community dietetics.
You will play a key role in the nutritional management of this patient group and will provide specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals.
You will supervise and support our Band 5 and 6 dietitians, dietetic assistants and student dietitians. You will also participate in our teams audit programme and policy and resource development for the team and organisation.

- HCPC registration.
Desirable
- BDA membership.
- Evidence of Continual Professional Development through approved courses and other relevant activities.
Experience

- At least 4 years post graduate clinical experience.
- Understanding the importance of effective multi-disciplinary
- working.
- Experience in training or teaching other health professionals.
Desirable
- Dietetic student training supervision, assessment, training and programme development.
- Previous line management experience.
- Experience of working with adults with physical and learning disabilities.
