Teaching Assistant – Portsmouth – ASAP starts

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, inclusive Teaching Assistants for schools in the Portsmouth area.
We have various roles and contracts that need covering from day to day supply, short term and permanent positions.

The suitable candidates will have experience of supporting children in school and must be able to manage behaviour and motivate students in class.

We are looking for someone who is able to;

* Provide assistance and supervision for children during the school day
* Assist children to understand and participate in class
* Work on a 1:1 basis with students if necessary
* Help to build confidence and motivation
* Adapt to various tasks and needs

Working as a Teaching Assistant means you must be available to work from 8.30am until 15.30pm. Schools will not negotiate the timings for you, if you cannot commit to these times of work please do not apply.

As you may be required to cover at different schools in and around the Portsmouth area having your own transport is desirable but not essential.

To be considered for the position you must have a valid clear DBS check or be willing to submit one.
