Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in Llandudno Hospital as part of the Multi-Disciplinary stroke team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join the team. This is a full time post working 37.5 hours a week. The service covers stroke rehabilitation as part of the new stroke pathway. The post holder may at times be asked to support the new early supported discharge service and the acute aspect of the stroke pathway.
Main duties of the job
This post offers an opportunity to develop both clinical and managerial skills. Significant up to date experience of working within stroke is essential. This post will support the existing staff in continuing to provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to support rehabilitation and timely discharges from the ward and meet national stroke targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for some of the day to day management and informal supervision of junior staff within the department. In addition, the post holder may contribute to the wider Occupational Therapy service i.e. audits, service developments, attending meetings.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
