Network Implementation Engineer Job Vacancy in Cheshire, England, UK
IQ Telecom
Network Implementation Engineer required for a large financial services customer working in their technical hub in Cheshire.
The Network Implementation Engineer will ideally have a CCNA or CCNP and be working across a team located in multiple locations and countries.
Daily activities will include (but not limited to):
Hands-on implementation of automation and configuration on devices and engineering new services into production
Working with support teams, lines of business and 3rd parties in order to build end-to-end solutions that balance business, security, availability and resiliency requirements
Maintaining designs patterns and providing feedback into architectural standards
Active participation in the change management process
Managing stakeholder requirements across projects and ad-hoc consulting
3rd level escalation for troubleshooting issues on the production network
Identifying and managing the mitigation of risks within the environment
Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully
Implementation and support of configuration changes
Core Skills:
Cisco network experience routing and switching
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and technical skills with proven experience in network automation and security engineering
Able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from technology and business peers through to senior management levels
To work effectively as part of a global team across multiple time zones
Willingness to work outside of normal UK working hours where necessary
Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures
Ability to work as part of a team or independently
