Are you an ambitious pharmacy technician with a passion for patient care and new ways of working?We have a great opportunity for a pharmacy technician to explore new ways to improve delivery of patient care through supporting the implementation of electronic prescribing and medication administration (EPMA) within our Health Board. This post will work with the wider EPMA multiprofessional team to select, develop, implement, maintain and optimise the system.

Main duties of the job

To work under the management of the Pharmacist Lead for ePMA, contributing to and participating in the selection, development, implementation and on-going management of the EPMA system; applying the knowledge, skills and training of an experienced, registered Pharmacy Technician. To participate in, plan and lead ongoing research that will complement benefits realisation. This will involve audits pre and post implementation. To act as EPMA pharmacy leader for technicians and support staff, supervising the less experienced. To lead the configuration of the EPMA software providing specialist knowledge input from their relevant field. To identify and deliver training requirements for the wider team. To line manage pharmacy technicians appointed to the EPMA team, giving support and guidance on EPMA working.
