Bursar – School Business Manager
£45, – £54, – Permanent Salary

Bursar – School Business Manager to join a great School in Birmingham. We are looking for a Bursar or School Business Manager who has experience managing, Finance, Human Resources, Health & Safety and the day to day running of a school office. The school require a bursar or School Business Manager who has a track record of achieving excellence and is always looking for ways to excel. Ideally looking to appoint permanently but will consider interim.

This School has made excellent progress year on year and is looking for a Bursar or School Business Manager who wants to join an OUTSTANDING team. You will be reporting directly to the Headteacher and be will be given full autonomy within the role to make some key changes and make it your own. This is an excellent opportunity for a Bursar or School Business Manager to join an Outstanding trust who have a brilliant track record. You must have school based experience in order to be considered for this role which is based full-time at School and not offered as a remote working role.

Job Role:

  • Lead and manage Finance, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Admin and Facilities staff
  • Work with the Headteacher to make key financial decisions for the school to include preparing and managing budgets
  • Delivering CPD and training to staff members
  • Attend SLT and school management meetings
  • Act as the schools Health & Safety Lead
  • Promote the high standards of the school

  • Be able to demonstrate a track record of high standards as a Bursar or School Business Manager 
  • Have experience leading a winning team
  • Want to make a difference and improve standards at school level
  • Be an excellent leader and dedicated manager
  • Have experience gained in an education or other legislative setting
