Morgan Hunt is working with a government organisation to recruit a Power BI Developer on a contractual basis. This is a 3 month contract. The position will be based in Glasgow or London with the opportunity to work remotely most of the time.
Experience Required:
- Evidence of strong experience in designing, developing and releasing Power BI dashboards
- Experience in designing or developing Finance, HR, Procurement or PMO reporting
- Knowledge of how dashboards should be designed, developed and tested to ensure high quality
- Understanding of how user requirements can be gathered and used to prove a solution meets what is needed from users
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques
- Experience using SQL and data transformation methods
Experience Desired:
- Power BI Certifications
- Mathematic qualifications or knowledge
- Financial accounting qualifications or knowledge
The role itself:
- Help scope the user types, their reporting/insight requirements
- Quickly prototype versions of dashboard that could meet requirements
- Build, test and deploy production ready Power BI dashboards and associated products e.g. alerts and notifications
- Connect to a range of data sources as use SQL and Power BI data loading to extract, transform and store data
- Apply row level security to dashboard content to ensure the users see only the data required for their role
- Collaborate in the design and development of digital processes
- Contribute to the design and development of web user interfaces to guide business users through the processes they need to perform their roles
The details:
- 510 inside IR35 per day
- 3 month contract
- Glasgow or London based
- Hybrid working – only 1 day a week in the office
