Job Description

We are looking for a Desktop Support Administrator to build on the existing IT Team. The candidate will quickly become the face of internal IT and will be pivotal in supporting the companies’ team members. We work with a lot of different technologies to which the successful candidate will get exposure. This will include Augmented / Virtual Reality, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain and Future Networks.

The day-to-day work will include helping team members and visitors to the centre with all IT related issues. The successful candidate will be full of ideas about refining our operation allowing us to become a high performing IT Team. ACCOUNTABILITIES

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Providing 1st & 2nd Line IT service and technical support to internal staff, visitors and partners.
  • Managing helpdesk tickets in line with company agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Identifying new ways to manage the fleet of team member devices.
  • Manage the company IT assets throughout its lifecycle within the company.
  • Dealing with 3rd party suppliers on projects and normal business as usual.
  • Driving improvements through new IT projects.
  • Contribute and update supporting documentation as necessary.
  • Hardware, software and licensing procurement.
  • Perform endpoint software and hardware servicing and support.
  • Contribute to the “If you have to do it more than twice then automate it” ethos.
  • SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/STYLE

    Technical Capabilities and Experience

  • Strong customer services experience supporting different types of customers.
  • Exposure to supporting various endpoints macOS, Windows 10 and IOS devices. An understanding of configuration management systems like JAMF, In-Tune and autopilot.
  • Understanding of the concepts of Zero-Touch Deployments.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently to achieve project goals.
  • Strong written and verbal commutation skills and the ability to ensure you are writing in the correct tone for the intended audience.
  • Escalations to 2nd/3rd line support.
  • Ability to adhere to process and ensure that you can see the bigger picture of the environment.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Fast learner, ability to absorb technical concepts and apply the learnings.
  • Open to learning new ways of working and integrate with an established multidiscipline team.
  • Basic understanding of Audio-Visual equipment and be able to help the AV Team.
