Cherry Ward is specialty of Care of the Elderly. Patients are treated for a wide-range of acute conditions, and as healthcare professionals, we are at the forefront of providing the care, dignity, and support people deserve. We are looking for committed and dynamic nurses with excellent communication skills and above all a real desire and passion to work with older people in the acute setting.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the specialism of elderly medicine, as well as gain experience in caring for patients who have acute medical illnesses within a friendly and well-established multi-disciplinary team that is proud of the high standards of care that we are able to provide to all our patients. Newly qualified staff nurses and experienced staff nurses from non-acute backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The role of the successful candidate will be to consistently drive excellent clinical quality standards to this vulnerable patient group, by providing visible clinical leadership to the team and support them in the delivery of high quality, effective and evidence based care.
Background knowledge of the safeguarding agenda to protect vulnerable adults is desirable, but not essential, as training will be given. It is our duty to keep patients in our care safe and falls prevention is high on our agenda. Focus will be on patient experience, patient safety and providing assurance that standards are met for every patient, every time.
