Are you a Band 3 Health Care support Worker looking for a new challenge? The Bristol Dermatology Centre (BDC) is a major provider of specialist Dermatology services in the South West Region and is part of the Division of Medicine at UHBW.

Here in Dermatology Outpatients no two days are the same. In our department we carry out minor surgery for skin cancer, phototherapy and photodynamic therapy as well as nurse led clinics for the treatment of Acne and wound care. This is a very exciting time to join our team. The successful candidates will receive an induction programme which supports some of the training required for your new role.

Permanent full time and part time positions are available.

Main duties of the job

You will play an essential role in supporting the delivery of the highest standard of quality care to our patients, working alongside registered nurses, Doctors and Consultants. Your role will include a wide range of tasks, from wound care to supporting in our procedure and biopsy rooms to undertaking clinical observations. You will be required to follow stringent policies such as infection control and manual handling policies. You will also be expected to support the band 2 Health Care Support Workers.

As a band 3 Senior Health Care Worker you will be an integral part of the A520 Dermatology Outpatient team providing support to Nurses

– You must be able to work a minimum of 4 shifts per week (fulltime) Monday to Friday 08.00-18.00.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a commitment to team working but who can also use their own initiative and manage their own time. Prior experience of working as a nursing/care assistant is an essential requirement for this role.
