Robert Half is recruiting for a French Speaking Accountant for our client in Hertfordshire on a Fixed Term contract basis for up to 12 months.

This position of French Speaking Accountant will be varied and focus on the following key skills;

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation and submission of journals together with journal backup for approval
  • Maintenance of fixed assets register
  • Provision of supplementary schedules as required for monthly/quarterly reporting.
  • Ad hoc Operational & Finance requests
  • Preparation & submission of internal & external audit tasks
  • Preparation & submission of statutory/statistical reporting requirements

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Essential

Completed or studying towards a degree or other relevant qualification in Finance (such as ACCA, CIMA etc.)

  • Accounting experience to Trial Balance, with a minimum 1-2 years’ experience at a similar level
  • French language skills
  • Hands on ERP experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team player
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good organisation and planning ability
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience working with Oracle / SAP / large ERP system
  • Experience working with Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Experience working with internal/external auditors
  • Experience working for a US parent company or a similar multinational environment

The position of French Speaking Accountant will be paying circa £43-45k via fixed term contract, it will be hired on a hybrid remote working basis ( 3 days per week in the office ).
