Job summary
It is a really exciting time for Swansea Bay Physiotherapy service.The post holder will actively lead the physiotherapy team in the Neurology Physiotherapy Service which includes the Stroke and Neurology Out-Patient Teams. You will have responsibility for the current Neurology teams health board wide.
The post is a 50/50 split between clinical duties and leadership responsibilities.
The post holder will be working in collaboration with the other 8a clinical leads and leading the band 7 senior leadership team while reporting to the Deputy Head of Physiotherapy. You will take the lead in planning, co-ordination and development of the Neurology team. You will provide leadership, support, supervision and mentorship to these teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting clinical excellence and evidence-based practice.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide Professional leadership for the physiotherapy teams to ensure that the provision and delivery of Physiotherapy across the whole patient pathway is evidence based and in line with recognised best practice. In the course of their duties be responsible for;
Implementing departmental, Health Board and National policies andprocedures and assist in writing/ monitoring physiotherapy adherence to National standards, policies and protocols and guidelines including evaluation.
Ensure the physiotherapy teams adhere to the Health Board andDepartmental Clinical Governance agenda.
Take the lead role in contributing to and delivering any planned or future service redesign SBU wide .
Contribute specific clinical physiotherapy expertise and also represent the Physiotherapy Service at SBUHB meetings. The post holder would also be expected to attend National and International forums providing a highly specialist resource for other therapy, nursing and medical professionals.Regularly undertakes co-ordinates and implement Research andDevelopment activity within the physiotherapy teams.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
