An exciting opportunity has arisen tojoin the newly established NHS Devon Integrated Care Board (ICB). We arelooking for a dynamic, highly organised and experienced Senior CommissioningManager to work within our Women & Childrens Commissioning Team.

You will have project managementexpertise and an extensive knowledge of commissioning. You will be passionateabout driving forward timely delivery of the National and Devon objectives anddeliverables for these priorities for Children & Young People, ensuringthat they have the best chances in life and reduce inequalities.

You will act as a leader within theDevon healthcare system and work closely with partners from all areas (socialcare, education, community sector and health), ensuring that the voice ofchildren and families is at the core of all we do.

Main duties of the job

The main priorities of this role is to leadthe four CYP programmes, managing the contract strategically and operationallywhich include:

  • The leadership and capacity to drive forwards at pace programme objectives for elective recovery and winter planning are time critical. There are four key priorities:
    • CYP Elective Recovery of Paediatric Specialty services
    • Winter and surge planning for Paediatric Specialties
    • Surgery in Children Game Change Programme
    • Acute and Ambulatory Game Changer Programme.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders you will robustly manage projects, workstreams and initiatives in line with agreed priorities and national targets ensuring CYP and families can access services and care close to home.
  • The role supports the business in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service.
  • The role is designed to build a combination of subject matter expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery.
