Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cancer Services Team at a multi-award winning Trust. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to improving Cancer Services for the people of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
This post will support the Cancer Improvement Programme Manager to plan and deliver schemes within the Trust’s Cancer Improvement Programme.
Whilst the post-holder will work under the guidance and mentorship of the Cancer Improvement Programme Manager, there will be a key requirement to build relationships and work alongside clinical and operation staff independently in order to deliver assigned projects.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will be required to robustly apply project management methodology to support the improvement of Trust services and, together with the Cancer Improvement Programme Manager and Cancer Leadership Team, facilitate and monitor progress to ensure delivery of value for money and effective and sustainable improvements for patients and staff.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Work with and develop positive relationships with key stakeholders;
- Support clinical and operational staff to formulate robust plans which enable delivery of intended outcomes;
- Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies;
- Identify new improvement opportunities;
- Create and maintain a full project documentation suite.

- Support clinical and operational staff to formulate robust, logical plans that lead to clear outcomes and benefits, and to identify the key milestones and metrics.
- Work with and develop relationships with key stakeholders to oversee the robust and effective delivery of projects.
