A fantastic opportunity is now available for a Sister or Charge Nurse to work in brand new Heartlands Treatment Centre (HTC) as part of the Procedure Recovery Unit team and across BHH discharge lounge.

The HTC Procedure Recovery Unit will consist of 30 multi-speciality ambulatory care trolleys and 10 overnight beds.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for coordinating the discharge lounge or Procedures floor, facilitating the pre & post op care and discharge for Intervention Radiology, Endoscopy, ENT, Imaging, General Surgical and Urology patients. Supporting the Senior sister in the smooth running of the 2 areas. Duties also include audits, staff allocation, conducting appraisals, communicating with various members of the workforce, allocating patient beds, mentoring junior staff and students, attending meetings.
