Our client is the professional body responsible for the specialty throughout the UK. They are the third largest medical royal college in the UK by membership. With a combined membership of more than 24,000 Fellows and Members, they ensure the quality of patient care by safeguarding standards in the three specialties of anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join their Clinical Quality and Research directorate, working on large scale medical projects.

Within this key role you will take the lead on producing clinical audit and project reports, collecting and analysing data and using the results to develop and produce a wide range of reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy throughout the process. You will work closely with statisticians within the College as well as across other organisations. You will liaise with the wider research community and public to promote research projects and communicate the outputs of research reports in an understandable manner. In addition to this, you will also have the opportunity to attend meetings with users and contribute to the decision-making process on the handling and processing of data.

You will be educated to degree level or hold equivalent experience in Social Sciences, Statistics or a related subject. You will have a background in data analysis and experience in producing reports and creating graphical representations of data. As such you will be able to evidence proficiency in IT packages such as Microsoft (Excel in particular),‘Stata’, ‘R’ and other data presentation platforms with the ability to learn bespoke packages with ease.

It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as you will be working with a large network of people. Additionally, you must have excellent time management, literacy and numeracy skills as you will be responsible for coordinating a large volume and variety of project work.
