SEND Secondary Teaching Assistant – Brighton & Hove

At Engage, we know that a school runs on quality support staff. We are now working with a mainstream secondary school in Brighton and Hove that require an experienced teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with students with SEND from January 2023 or sooner.

The ideal applicant will:

  • Be available to work full time and be able to commit to a long term role

  • Have experience working with secondary age students with Autism, ADHD and Mental Health

  • Be confident, flexible and enthusiastic

  • Be passionate about raising attainment in students

About the school:

This is a popular 11-16 secondary school in Brighton and Hove who offer an individual support programme to ensure that each student is assisted in breaking through any barriers to learning through an inclusive curriculum. Educational Health Care Plan Students have a range of disabilities and needs relating to cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, communication and interaction and/or sensory and physical. The team and SENDCO are experienced, nurturing and focused on the progression and education of the young people in the school. The school is based centrally in Brighton and is easily accessible by public transport.
