Randstad are extremely excited to announce that one of our partner schools is looking for an enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant to join a very busy and growing SEN department on a full-time basis from January – the SEN teaching assistant role requires no experience, but it would be a bonus if you have any! This role is a challenging one, working 1:1 with children who have additional educational needs.

Requirements of a SEN teaching assistant:

  • A SEN teaching assistant will be open to work with children who have SEN
  • A SEN teaching assistant will be required to support SEN pupils with behaviour needs
  • A SEN teaching assistant will be proactive and keep busy throughout the day
  • A SEN teaching assistant will be working alongside a large team and continue to further develop
  • A SEN teaching assistant will support SEN pupils with work set during lessons
  • A SEN teaching assistant will be flexible with their job role throughout the day

  • Ideally degree educated
  • Experience is not essential – but a bonus!
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • 2 satisfactory references must be provided
  • Proof of Address
  • Overseas Police Check will be required if you have been outside of the UK for a period longer than 6 months in the past 5 years
