Morgan Hunt are currently looking for a Welfare Benefits Officer to work with our Client in Slough.

Job title: Welfare Benefits Officer

Location: Slough

Salary: 31,000

Contract: Permanent

OFFICE WORKING ONLY

Responsibilities:

– Provide welfare advice service across all housing services and contracts.

– Support tenancies by enabling customers to manage their rent accounts and avoid eviction, alongside the prevention of wider personal debts and income maximisation

– Deal effectively with welfare benefit queries including representing residents at review, appeal and tribunal level where required

-Develop and maintain positive relationships with external partner agencies (DWP, JCP, support agencies) to strengthen partnership working

– Support residents with applications for Discretionary Housing Payments and Homelessness prevention fund payments
