Role : Management Accountant (Part Time – 3 or 4 days per week)

Location : Leeds

Hours : 09:00 – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (1-2 days in the office per week)

Salary : £45K pro rata

This brilliant charity is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. Reporting into and working closely with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of this charity’s financial management.

Based in a modern serviced office with parking on site, your day will be varied as you support the team in organising events, checking payments, following up queries and being the first point of call.

Please note that a full DBS check will be carried out upon an offer.

Key responsibilities within your role would be:

  • Line manager to the Finance officer
  • Own the month end processes including Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Payable, posting of accurate accruals and income deferrals
  • Recording and reporting on Restricted and Unrestricted Income
  • Act as the first point of contact for external auditors to provide requested information
  • End to end payroll for 14 employees
  • Preparing monthly accounts
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of financial data on Xero, timely payment of suppliers in accordance with appropriate authorisations
  • Review and maintain the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • To identify to the Managing Director, Treasurer and Board of Trustees potential financial opportunities and/or risks

    Experience and skills required:

  • ACCA or CIMA Qualified
  • Experience of producing statutory accounts
  • Experience of documenting procedures and financials controls
  • Knowledge of Charity /Education provision would be ideal though not essential
