Behaviour Support Mentors

We require two flexible and motivated SEND Teaching Assistants.

You will be working with children with special educational needs and must have successful experience of supporting children around communication and behaviour. You will be working as part of a fantastic EYFS team at a Primary Academy close to Uxbridge in the West London borough of Hillingdon.

You will work under the direction of the Class Teacher and Senior Leaders, to provide outstanding support to students coming into the school who will have a range of needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or who may have challenges with communication.

Any previous experience with early interventions in this area or supporting with PECS or Makaton would be a distinct advantage as would any experience of supporting students with SEND and working within an EYFS setting.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork, have effective communication skills, the ability to adapt learning tasks, and a willingness to become involved in professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
