Job Title: HR Systems & Employee Experience Applications Director

Location: Kingston Head Office

JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that HR, Workplace, Travel, Group Security have the right application technologies to meet their business needs and drive towards their strategic objectives. In addition, the role will be responsible for IT4IT platforms that power UniOps operations. The role will own and deliver technology projects to support, underpin and enable the HR Expertise, PEX Operations, Workplace, Travel & Group Security strategies and in some cases, will support major technology programmes in partnership with Employee Experience Technology Director.

The role will develop the technology agenda to meet business needs, working in partnership with the PEX Technology Director to ensure the roadmap aligns with and delivers the required capabilities and functionality to deliver a great employee experience.

In order to be able to lead the technology agenda for these areas, the role will need build and maintain an ecosystem of stakeholders in partnership with their teams and the Employee Experience Platform Director.

The role is accountable for understanding business demand, researching and choosing the right technologies (with EA/PEX Team), landing technologies, ensuring adoption & user experience and ongoing services to meet agreed KPIs. In so doing, to also balance cost and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build key relationships and networks with HR Expertise, HR Ops, PEX, Group Security, UniOps in Market (UiM) and UniOps technology delivery stakeholders and their teams to understand business priorities and technology requirements/opportunities.

  • The EX function will use employee journeys to design services and establish a programme of deliverables to deliver a holistic employee experience. The journeys will cut across multiple service groups and technologies. This role will be required to ensure the HR and EX technologies deliver the right capabilities and aligned experiences.

  • Delivers the technology roadmap (in conjunction with the PEX Technology Director where relevant) to plan the 2-3 year investment cycle, lifecycle-managing existing platforms to ensure technology currency and alignment with technology strategy and cost targets as well as new innovations and technology refresh

  • Ensures the programs land as per agreed timelines and standards within HR technology areas, manages all internal & stakeholders accordingly.

  • Takes full responsibility of the user experience aspects of HR and EX technologies, ensuring the experience elements are embedded from the design phases, and taken into account in all phases of delivery and service, measured and improved continuously.

  • Takes full responsibility for service levels, ensuring service levels are defined, measured and improved continuously.

  • Works with stakeholders to ensure balance is achieved against the many drivers and factors to consider when selecting technology, including employee experience, cost, functional fit, innovation

  • Works with stakeholders ensure that the adoption levels and benefits of the technologies and new/updated service lines are achieved.

  • Takes full responsibility of innovation and run cost management, ensures targets are met and necessary optimization and rationalization activities are followed by all internal and external parties.

  • Manages a large base of people directly or indirectly; own team, extended team (contractors, freelancers etc.) rest of IT and UniOps teams supporting the portfolio, vendor teams, consultants and relevant HR teams to meet the defined goals.

  • Relevant experience in IT program / service management in a large scale, diverse, multinational organization.

  • Relevant experience in digital transformation programme management.

  • Relevant experience in managing diverse teams effectively.

  • Relevant experience in core vendor management experience.

  • Very good understanding and hands on experience of IT platform and portfolio management.

  • Very good knowledge and hands on experience of change, release, incident and problem management.

  • Track record of digital transformation and adoption.

  • Being flexible and solution oriented in practices, whilst having a strategic thinking with vision.

  • Good understanding of consumer goods business process management.

  • Good understanding of agile and lean methodologies.

  • Excellent stakeholder management.
