Do you work with a healthcare or care sector ? Randstad C&P are recruiting for a Housekeeping Assistant. This is for a temporary position in Derby with an ongoing contract. The position is to support and help grow a new temporary ward.
Your package includes:
Working hours are either 08:30 – 14:00 or 13:00 – 19:00 Across 7 days
Pay rate: £ – £ per hour
The key responsibilities are:
High level of maintenance within a care environment
Make sure all work spaces are kept tidy
Report any issues such as light bulbs / furniture replacement
Cleaning is kept to a high standard in line with currently health and safety regulations
To help prepare vacated beds ( include striping and making of beds)
Assist to the nutritional needs of patients
Meal service
Leasing with catering service in regards to dietary requirements
Ensure patients have adequate clean clothing and cleary state which is there personal belongs including clothing
Ensuring that the ward has adequate supplies Including gloves / toilet roll /soap and towels
Greeting guests when they come on the ward
Leasing with other staff
Respond to general information requests
Provide best possible care for patients
The suitable candidate will have:
Basic food hygiene certificate
Standard level of education (A* – C or equivalent)
Basic level of cleaning
worked previously in a customer facing environment
Be able to prioritise workload and act on own initiative
The desired attributes (the are essential):
Basic health and saftey certificate
Basic computer skills
To have worked in a similar care / health setting
