McLaughlin & Harvey are one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Designer to join the team.

Responsibilities

McLaughlin & Harvey Workspace Solutions are a specialist interiors division of a leading construction firm in the United Kingdom.

The role will include; providing space planning, interior design and general design services. Your main duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Providing space planning, interior design and general design services
  • Work with AutoCAD, producing interior space plans and layouts for commercial and higher education projects.
  • Assist in preparing design proposals, including visuals, concept sketches, colour schemes, finishes schedules.
  • Prepare client presentations using packages including InDesign and PowerPoint and assist in presenting solutions to clients.
  • Provide assistance to our site teams when creating spaces for our clients, ensuring the design solution is realised accurately.
  • Play a pivotal role within the wider design group, researching design trends, product innovations and interior solutions, bringing new and fresh ideas to the team.

    • Qualifications

    Essential

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in interior design.
  • Must be willing to travel and be flexible.
  • A real focus on delivering to deadlines.

    • Experience

  • Demonstrable time and task management skills are required.
  • Demonstrable experience in interior design.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team structure.
  • Work well within an open and collaborative culture.
  • Drive new thinking and ideas, internally and externally.
  • Exhibit confidence when handling stressful client and project demands.
