Career Teachers are recruiting for Mental Health Teaching Assistants to support children with complex behaviour and mental health needs in a special education setting in Salford.

Education, Psychology or Sociology graduates are of a particular interest, as are Youth Workers, Sports Coaches/Graduates, and Support Workers.

The role is due to start in January and will run for the academic year to keep continuity for the children. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.00pm and a daily rate of £75-£90 per day is on offer.

Aiding the class teacher in supporting the learning and managing the behaviour of the students will be integral to the children’s development.

There will be some small group work needed focusing on peer friendships and one to one support to enhance the children learning of their bespoke national curriculum. This will all be done under the guidance of the class teacher.
