Your responsibilities

  • Assisting the input of engineering data ie Part numbers and BOMS either directly into SAP ERP or via excel.

  • Assisting the Material Master Engineer in collating and presenting information from Engineering and Sales.

  • Assisting the Production Engineering Manager with the Purchase order process by creating enquiries and RFQs and collating information packs for vendors to quote and parts to manufacture to.

  • Assisting the Production Engineering Manager by methodically expediting and managing the existing sales order backlog, ensuring the status of orders are known and recorded.

  • Shipping goods to the customer via the Shipping Portal.

  • Communicating with the sales team ensuring scheduled delivery dates are aligned to customer priorities.

  • Your qualifications

    Required

  • Experience of, or ability to quickly understand manufacturing business systems, processes and data sources.

  • Ability to articulate problems as well as to propose changes in a clear manner.

  • Independent worker with good communication skills. Able to work both in a team or on their own.

  • Computer literate with good skills in Excel and Microsoft office in general.

  • Able to transpose data in an accurate manner.

  • Methodical with an attention to detail.

  • Desirable

  • A production/operations/purchasing background or a manufacturing/ engineering profession

  • Understanding of the business processes relevant to manufacturing, customer service, purchasing, engineering and logistics

  • Good understanding of the workings of MRP/ERP systems.
