Financial Accountant

Robert Half are proud to exclusively partner with a fast growing, global software brand, who are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious, and hard-working financial accountant to join an established and good-natured team. Due to recent investment, they predict up to 100% growth in the coming 18 months, through both acquisition and organic methods, so this is a fantastic time to join! This would also generate a number of progression paths within their 18 strong team, that is recruiting regularly. The financial accountant role would be based at their Uxbridge Head office.

Duties:

  • Own the preparation of monthly financial reports including balance sheet, profit and loss, internal and external reports and cashflow statements
  • Manage the general ledger including assisting with the preparation of the monthly consolidation, banking, and intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist with the production of monthly management accounts including completion of month end schedules and balance sheet reconciliations as required
  • Assist with preparation of monthly reports and board pack for the Executive Team
  • Assist with monthly external lender reports and other ad hoc external requests
  • Act as primary contact for the business with external auditors and ensure that the audit process is managed
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements for standalone and group companies and support the team during the audit process
  • Ensure accounting standards and policies are adhered to and provide recommendations
  • Assist with managing group corporation tax filings and payments in all regions
  • Assist with coordinating all areas of R&D project activity in respect of identifying those projects that qualify for R&D tax credit relief
  • Oversee weekly cash flow reporting and support the team with treasury tasks
  • Represent Finance in the business, liaise with and provide advice to other functions and staff members
  • Assist the FP&A team with the annual budget process and provide ongoing assistance with forecasting and budgeting
  • Assist with the integration and accounting for acquisitions
  • Assist the Head of Finance by providing information and analysis to support the business as required
  • Assist in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives

    • This role would ideally suit:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance but not essential
  • Qualified accountant ACCA or ACA
