We’re currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our team at our Raughton Head depot.
Applications considered for hours between 30 hours to full time (37.5 hours) – depending on the successful candidate. Working hours flexible between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Your main duties will include:
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts in line with the accounts timetable
- To develop a good working knowledge of the computer system (Codas). Full training to be provided
- Management of Sales and Purchase Ledger processing
- Review of Aged Debtors & Creditors
- Oversee reconciliation of daily stocks
- To carry out VAT returns/RDCO returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparation of KPI’s
- Prepare submission of weekly and month payroll hours to Payroll Department
- Liaison with External Auditors
- Liaison with the WCF Head Office Finance team
- Having a curious mindset and looking at how we can continuously develop and improve processes
The ideal candidate:
- Have a sound practical knowledge of accounting
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have a positive can-do attitude
- Have a good working knowledge of Excel
- Have an ability to listen, interpret and understand individual requirements
- Be self-motivated
- Have great attention to detail
- Have excellent time management with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
