Finance System Project Manager – Fixed Term Contract Job Vacancy in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, UK

Do you have a proven track record of delivering finance systems projects? Have you worked in third sector and/or charitable organisations? Is your approach hands on, adaptable, resilient and delivery focused?
We are looking for a highly experienced project manager to deliver the successful upgrade of our finance system (Access Dimensions with FocalPoint) from an old, out of standard support, on site hosted system to a cloud based, fully supported, system including reporting analytics. This position is offered as a full time, 9 month fixed term contract ideally starting in January .
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will work closely with the finance team, liaise with IT and the software provider.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Day to day management of project governance (including budget management), ensuring timescales are phased and realistic, reporting is completed, and key dependencies and project risks are identified and managed
Developing test plans and capturing ideas for change to unlock benefits through a phased delivery approach
Taking the lead on testing, cutover, data migration, change and communications
Managing projects in a flexible manner, the estimated timeline is 6-9 months for the upgrade.
Training and upskilling the finance team in project management techniques
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
Experience and a proven track record of end-to-end delivery of finance systems projects, either upgrades or new implementations in similar sectors/organisations to the RSC
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and departments
The ability to ensure the best value for money for the RSC
Resilience and a flexible and adaptable approach to work
A delivery focused outlook and able to work under pressure and to deadlines
Confident decision-making skills
A relevant Project Management qualification – ideal but not essential
The RSC administration offices are in Stratford-upon-Avon. This role can be flexible and accommodate remote working from home. This is provided travel to Stratford-upon-Avon can be agreed at certain key times e.g., project onboarding, meetings with key stakeholders, intense periods of project implementation.
