The Test Manager will be responsible for the testing strategies and managing the end-to-end testing of technology solutions. They will be required to lead testing on small projects through to large scale complex programmes and be able to manage multiple projects in parallel. Testing will predominantly cover configuration and code changes to our ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, but will also include other applications and integration technologies. The Test Manager will have experience of delivering both manual and automated testing within D365 and other systems. They will have the ability to work alongside the wider solutions team to provide a high-quality end-to-end solution.

 

 

The Role

  • Create, review and update testing strategies for retail software and hardware solutions including processes, tooling and automation
  • Manage internal software testing resources
  • Engage and manage external software testing resources and companies
  • Review business and software requirements and provide inputs
  • Provide test estimates for projects
  • Prepare and review test plans
  • Prepare, review and execute test cases
  • Analyse test results and test metrics
  • Prepare, review and present test reports
  • Manage defects, from logging to resolution
  • Engage with business stakeholders to complete user acceptance
  • Work continuously to improve the quality and efficiency of test cycles
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is received and maintained
  • Act as a point of contact for the wider test team and escalate any issues or risks to the Project team or the Technology Leadership team
  • Coordinate with other team members (Project Manager, Developers, Functional Consultants and Business Analysts) to ensure the highest level of software quality
  • Keep Russell & Bromley’s testing tools and processes up to date with best practices in the industry

  • Organised and detail focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ideally, 3+ years’ experience of testing and test management
  • Retail background would be beneficial but not essential
  • Experience of managing a testing team
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and other Microsoft technologies (i.e., PowerApps, LogicApps, etc)
  • Experience of testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
  • Working knowledge of test automation tools, ideally RSAT
  • Functional knowledge and experience of Azure DevOps
  • Experience in agile test delivery desirable
