The Nutrition and Dietetic Service in Tayside are seeking to recruit a Dietitian to work within the specialist area of renal.

The post holder will work as an integrated member of the Tayside Dietetic Renal Team and provide a clinical service in secondary care for people in Tayside living with renal illnesses. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the multi-disciplinary Renal Team taking a pro-active approach in the clinical care of patients, service improvement and pathway development.

Excellent working relationships exist with renal colleagues throughout NHS Tayside via the Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service and the Tayside Nutrition Network to develop and implement evidence-based practice, receive peer support and help to progress Continuous Professional Development. There is also a commitment to training dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.

Excellent inter-personal and communications skills and the ability to demonstrate good team working as well as being able to work autonomously are required. This post invites applications from Dietitians at Band 5 who are looking to develop their career to Band 6. Previous experience in renal care is not essential and full training and support in the specialism will be provided.
