The Role

You will join a Legal 500 ranked Employment team in the firm’s Manchester office.

Handling a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious Employment work, you will act for some of the UK’s largest employers across various sectors, such as health, finance, and retail.

You will be encouraged to shape your practice towards your strengths, whether you want to keep a broad diet of work or focus on a particular sector/specialism.

As a key member of the team, you will be actively involved in the team’s long-term growth and supervise a small team of junior lawyers. You can also expect a high level of client contact and influence in strategic decision-making, allowing you to develop the requisite skills needed to take the step into partnership.

Requirements

  • As a guide, this role would suit an Employment Lawyer between 3 – 6 years PQE
  • Comfortable handling a mix of contentious & non-contentious Employment work
  • Experience conducting advocacy at Employment Tribunals
  • Able to motivate, supervise and delegate work to junior lawyers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
