Band HC06 – £25,422 – £28,579 pro rata per annum

We have a vacancy for a full-time permanent Referral Assessment Officer for the Community Mental Health Service based in Inverness but also covering Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey and East/Mid Ross. This is a busy but supportive team that works with adults with severe and enduring mental health issues .

The case work has a specific focus on working with service users with moderate to severe mental illness/disorder from 18 – 64 years old. The work is interesting and varied. Duties include person centred outcome focused assessments, client casework and carrying out reviews of existing care and support packages in the community.

The main role and focus of this post is to carry an allocated caseload of service users, undertake reviews of support packages in the community against our current eligibility criteria, ensuring safe and person centred service delivery . Alongside this it is also important to focus on promoting independence and the use of informal support systems which can be provided as well as paid support.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person, who has experience of working with people with a wide range of needs and is person cantered and outcome focused in their approach.
