We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic band 3 Assistant Simulation Co-ordinator / Administrator to work within a very busy education team.

The post holder will work closely with the Professional Practice / Development Teams and the Medical education teams and will assist in the organisation, administration, and management of the clinical education centre (based in the Undercroft building at MDGH) A key aspect of this role will be providing administrative support to both teams.

Including supporting the Resuscitation officer / MDSO, using several of the trusts IT system including ESR and administration tasks associated with the external business function provided by the team.

Professionalism and excellent communication / customer service skills are a must. You will also be a key person within the simulation team and assist in the physical preparation of the clinical training facilities, supporting the use of the kit during simulated education and help with the on-going maintenance of the training equipment within the department.

Full training on how to use and maintain all the technical equipment will be given.

  • The post holder will provide directed administrative support to both the Professional Practice & Practice Development teams. Including supporting the Resuscitation officer / MDSO and admin tasks associated with the external business function provided by the team
  • Responsible for the maintenance of stocks of a variety of supplies including clinical supplies and equipment,
  • Act as a point of contact for the management of clinical training facility room bookings
  • Ensuring that the department stationery and equipment stocks are maintained.
  • The maintenance of central filing systems and archiving of relevant material.
