An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of a comprehensive Business Intelligence service in Derbyshire Healthcare NHS FT.

This is a Senior Analyst role within the team responsible for delivering a high-quality provision of information to internal and external stakeholders.

As a Senior Analyst in the Business Intelligence Team, you will be expected to undertake complex analysis and interpretation of a wide variety of health information in a fast-paced environment.

You will also assist in ensuring that all mandatory submissions are made within the required deadlines to a high standard of quality and provide a responsive service for “ad hoc” information requests.

As a senior member of the team, you will work with and support other team analysts in the delivery of a high quality service to the Trust and external stake holders.

You will also contribute to collaborative initiatives across the Information Management, Technology & Patient Records Department and wider organisation.

Main duties of the job

This role will be involved in activities such as:

  • Providing an effective information service that converts data into business and commissioning intelligence that informs strategic planning, contract management, and supports service delivery and clinical practice for both the organisation and wider healthcare system.
  • Use technical skills to extract, automate and analyse data for trends in order to support the performance of the Trust.
  • Investigating and resolving complex system and data quality issues.
  • Produce, develop and present of a range of high-quality healthcare information.
  • Support other analysts in the delivery of a high-quality service to the Trust and external stake holders.
  • Lead and support on high profile Business Intelligence related projects.
  • The successful candidate will need to have excellent technical skills in SQL, Excel and other Business Intelligence software e.g., SSRS/Reporting Services.

    You will need to be capable of manipulating information as well as the ability to summarise complex information and articulate what it represents.
