Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Mental Health Worker roles in the Early Intervention Psychosis Service. We have 1 full time and one part time post (30 HPW) available.

Bristol Early Intervention service works with younger people first experiencing symptoms of psychosis between the ages of 14-35 years of age.

The role is varied, challenging and very rewarding, with the successful candidate being able to work alongside our service users and their families and coproduce support and care plans, help with practical issues such as housing and finances, budgeting, healthy lifestyle support, 1:1 support for behavioural activation, graded exposure anxiety and therapeutic group planning and facilitation.

Main duties of the job

To provide 1:1 support for people in their recovery relating to experiences of symptoms of psychosis and associated mental and physical health difficulties. Being able to help people negotiate housing and benefit services, helping people access therapies and therapeutic groups, cofacilitating therapeutic groups.

Working alongside SU’s and their families and friends, providing specialist support, e.g., behavioural activation and graded exposure anxiety support.
