Job summary

We are keen to appoint a fixed term locum consultant to cover a colleague’s sabbatical, to start as soon as possible and to finish on 30 Sep 2023.

This role would suit a CCT-holder with interests in burns, major trauma / lower limb reconstruction and / or paediatric plastic surgery who wishes to gain experience at consultant level within a supportive consultant team in one of the UK’s largest burns & plastics departments. Recent experience in reconstructive microsurgery, adult & paediatric burns and collaborative trauma working are all essential criteria.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will join our team of twenty four consultants, and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of plastics trauma, major trauma and centre-level burn care in our adult and paediatric services. There will be a 1:8 on call commitment on our burns consultant rota.
