Our client a global financial institution is seeking to hire a Director of – FICC E Trading Business Development

seeking an established candidate to join the FICC E-Trading/Market Structure & Global Markets Strategic Investments team. This horizontal team works within and across all lines of business as well as with functional partners including technology, QSG, legal, compliance, risk, etc. The team is responsible for enhancing the firm’s e-trading performance and innovation strategy by supporting product development, identifying and managing strategic partnership opportunities, influencing market structure, and creating relevant business applications with proprietary data.

 

Candidate will work collaboratively internally and externally to

  • Drive new business development opportunities in EMEA FICC across e-trading, portfolio trading/ETF and automated market-making strategies
  • Evaluate established and emerging fintech technologies and venues to steer partnership opportunities across Markets
  • Assess competitive and regulatory landscape to articulate and drive forward-looking business strategy
  • Enhance global synergies within and across lines of business with respect to electronification initiatives

Preference will be given to candidates with

  • Product experience/knowledge in Rates, Credit, FX, or Equities markets

Additional experience

  • BSc or equivalent level degree educated
  • Min 8+ yrs relevant experience in a FICC trading/e-trading, sales, research, quant, strategic investments or trading venue role; candidate must demonstrate a deep interest in market dynamics and evolution
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong attention to detail necessary
  • Understanding of electronic trading platforms/protocols and familiarity with bond/swap products is beneficial
  • Must work well in a collaborative team environment; have ability to learn quickly and be able to take on new responsibilities
