About the School

Fazakerley Primary School is based in the North of Liverpool bordering both Knowsley and Sefton. We are a GOOD school (Ofsted March 2020), we are continuing to grow. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (Level) 2 to work with one of our Reception children who is on the ASD pathway. Fazakerley Primary School prides itself on its warmth and family ethos. About the Role
The role will focus on:

  • Attending to the personal and social needs of pupils.
  • Encouraging pupils to participate and learn.
  • Keeping the classroom resources in good order
  • Assisting with home school liaison to maintain relationships with parents/carers
  • Have experience, knowledge and understanding of working with children with ASD.
  • Managing pupil behaviour in class and around the school.
  • Assisting to deliver appropriate programmes of work.
  • To support the development and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation and assessment procedures as appropriate.
  • Organising activities in the Key Stage setting, as directed by the teacher/Phase Manager.
  • Being aware of confidentiality issues
  • Being aware of, and adhering to the schools policies and procedures.
  • Making the school a warm, friendly, enjoyable place to be!
