Main duties of the job

We are seeking a nurse with excellent up to date specialist clinical knowledge and skills, some experience of implementing changes within services would be beneficial. The Nurse Practitioner will administer chemotherapy, for both Oncology and Haematology patients within the Day Unit and use their skills during pre- assessment of patients prior to systemic anti cancer treatment. The role will involve liaising regularly with healthcare professionals across health care settings within North Wales and wider.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh applicants are equally welcome to apply.

  • Recent SACT administration

    Essential criteria

  • Working autonomously within agreed protocols
  • Specialist clinical skills including cannulation and SACT administration
  • Perform clinical procedures such as venepuncture and PICC line care
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate complex medical issues
  • Ability to initiate and implement change
  • ability to lead and develop nurse led practice within an MDT
