We have a fantastic short-term opportunity for a Media Officer to join their fast-paced energetic Media Team for a minimum of 3 months, working hard to maximise the organisation’s media presence across UK media supporting the organisation in our fundraising and advocacy priorities.

This role will be primarily focused on delivering earned media for their award winning Crime Not Compliment campaign. Placing coverage that helps them towards their aim of making public sexual harassment a crime. This is an incredibly exciting time for the campaign, as they reach a number of milestones that are crucial in helping them get this law over the line. The Media Officer will also support on other projects – including humanitarian fundraising appeals – and day-to-day press office tasks, such as sending out Daily Coverage alerts and responding to reactive journalist requests, as required.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and determined team player who can hit the ground running as part of an ambitious and dynamic press office. You’ll know how to tell compelling news stories, create engaging content and build effective relationships with journalists.

You’ll have some previous experience of working in a busy national press team and/or in a news/media organisation. Through this experience, you will have built key relationships across UK press, successfully identified and pitched stories, and written engaging copy with a media focus. This role offers hybrid working.
