SEMH Behaviour Support
Warrington, Cheshire
The Education Network is looking for a specialist teaching assistant to work within one of its partner SEND schools in the Warrington area. You will have a passion for supporting children who demonstrate social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work under the guidance of the SEMH Teacher and within an experienced, existing SEMH behaviour support team.

You will:
-have the ability to work with children with SEMH needs, and help them overcome barriers they experience with education.
-be understanding of, and have the strategies to diffuse behavioural difficulties demonstrated by SEMH students.
-have a range of strategies to work with SEMH students, and raise the standards of their learning.
-work under the guidance of the SEMH teacher in the implementation and planning of support programmes.
-communicate effectively with staff, and parents/carers.
-have the relevant qualifications/experience to work effectively in the role from the outset.

A current Team Teach qualification would be ideal, but is not essential.
