About The Role

In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and supporting underperforming stores by resolving the causes of loss. They’ll deliver convergence of the loss targets through coaching and improvement plans work across Regions with senior leaders for a sustained waste and shrink reduction, and support colleagues in the convergence of the bottom stores on all areas of loss including unknown loss on our Market Street areas. Some of your accountabilities will include: 

  • Supporting and coaching store teams on loss processes supporting with better availability and a great customer experience
  • Working with our Leadership teams to understand trends in sales and complaints to identify a course of action
  • Maintaining awareness of loss and delivery of the loss reduction plan
  • Working with colleagues at the shelf edge coaching great performance
  • Aligning with the Retail ‘Ways of Working’ to deliver virtual training where appropriate
  • Listening and responding to feedback from colleagues on matters affecting business loss
  • Building improvement plans that deal with the root cause of underperformance, whether in shrink, waste or unknown loss
  • Delivering targets in underperforming stores to support delivery of the business loss targets
  • Providing constructive feedback and solutions on newly identified areas of loss and new business initiatives such as Market Kitchen

  • Comprehensive knowledge and insight of Retail industry and market trends
  • Excellent commercial awareness with a detailed understanding of all team processes and systems
  • Ability to influence and impact stakeholder decision making up to Director level while being flexible and resilient in light of business direction change
  • Excellent communication including good emotional awareness to drive the right behaviours in teams
  • Proactive, data led thinking and analysis with strong organisational skills to prioritise own and teams workload effectively, working towards bigger picture thinking
